Mette Nørhede is an artist living in a rural corner of Denmark.

Her weapon of choice is and has always been the pencil and with it she creates meticulously drawn stories, most often involving people and animals. Her inspiration comes in many forms and is often set in motion by a certain mood, a facial expression or maybe a photo of past times. Her work tells stories that often revolve around notions of melancholy, occultism and the mysteries of the human mind.

"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable"
